Potter-Holden & Company's
History
Founded in 1918 ,
Potter-Holden & Company was among the first in the
state to offer medical malpractice liability insurance
to health care professionals, making us the most
experienced Medical Malpractice Agency in
Georgia.
Today, we are a
full-service provider of property and casualty insurance
products and services, representing over 2,000 clients,
including rural hospitals, solo physicians and surgeons,
group medical practices, health care facilities, oral
surgeons and dentists, to name a few.
Our history
and experience have earned Potter-Holden & Company
the reputation of health care liability insurance
experts. As a results, we have been called on by
the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia, HomeTown
Health, LLC, and three Georgia state
representatives to provide information that directly
affected how health care legislation was written.
In addition, we assisted the efforts to defeat
legislation that would have adversely impacted the
availability and cost of medical professional liability
insurance in the state. Acknowledged as true
advisors and strong advocates for the health care
community, we have served as a resource to the Georgia
Insurance Department and the Georgia State Legislature
in the passage of the state's tort reform.
